Creative Living will be introducing a new, once a month, overnight for transition students for the 2019-2020 school year. We welcome all transition students to come and experience an overnight at the Creative Living home, where we will help develop independent daily living skills and foster lifelong friendships.
Students from Transition Programs will participate in a one evening Saturday Overnight each month, alternating boys and girls, throughout the school year.
"I am so glad we heard about Creative Living because it gave us the chance to give our son an opportunity to be like other kids without having to worry about him being safe and cared for."
"Creative Living gives my child the opportunity to learn new skills. She used to be waited on all the time, now she picks up after herself and even helps me in the kitchen."
Students spend time out in the community attending plays, sporting events, eating in restaurants, bowling, visiting farms and museums, and enjoying seasonal activities with a focus on fun and friendship. Students learn a variety of life skills while attending Overnights, including; compromise, working in a group, respect for self, others and property, kitchen and home safety, meal preparation, and household chores such as loading and emptying the dishwasher, making a bed, setting and clearing the table, and cleaning up after yourself.
