students for the 2019-2020 school year. We welcome all transition students to
come and experience an overnight at the Creative Living home, where we will help
develop independent daily living skills and foster lifelong friendships.
Founded in 1986, Creative Living, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization that
provides services and support to developmentally disabled individuals and their
families. Students from Transition Programs will participate in a one evening
Saturday Overnight each month, alternating boys and girls, throughout the school
year. Students spend time out in the community attending plays, sporting events,
eating in restaurants, bowling, visiting farms and museums, and enjoying seasonal
activities with a focus on fun and friendship. Students learn a variety of life skills
while attending Overnights, including; compromise, working in a group, respect for
self, others and property, kitchen and home safety, meal preparation, and
household chores such as loading and emptying the dishwasher, making a bed,
setting and clearing the table, and cleaning up after yourself.
Our home is Quest Certified and all direct care staff is CPR, First Aid and
Medication Administation Certified.
Saturday 10am until Sunday at 5pm $300.00 per student, scholarship money is available.
